Supergirl 1 by Mahmud Asrar - The new costume has been pretty controversial but I like it, the look gives Kara a more sci-fi vibe that suits the character.

Here's something for any aspiring comic artists out there
As the comic con season moves on, a lot of young artists hit the convention floor with their portfolios, lining up in review lines, or trying to shake editors down to get their first break in the comic industry. It’s hard to know where your works stands compared to others, or what you need to do to improve. We’ve all been there, and it’s scary. Luckily, over at the Ten Ton Studios message board we’re trying to help you out!
We’ve opened a new section that’s made specifically for new talent to submit what you’re working on and get critiqued by professional comic book artists so that you can make improvements to your work and be even more prepared for when you first meet with an editor.
So far we’ve given some really great, in-depth critiques, and you might be able to learn something just from reading them.
If you’re an artist, come check it out, and if you know any artists spread the word to them. It’s not often that an opportunity like this comes around, and it’s worth taking advantage of.

Teen Titans 1 - ok so it looks very 90s, but I like Suerboy’s barcode tattoo, it serves as a quick reminder that he’s a clone.
Flash - it’s a given that I’ll pick this up, plus I love the costume revamp, the charged up lightning ripples are a great effect that will no doubt transfer brilliantly to the big screen.
Wonder Woman - I’m sold on the creative team of Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang, that new costume looks great too. ( I also know someone who’d totally wear that for Halloween)
Captain Atom - just lookit that energy mohawk, it’s brilliant!
Green Arrow - I’ve always dug the character and from the sounds of the origin, DC are taking some cues from Ollie’s popular turn on Smallville
Hawkman - it’s a great visual and I’ve waited a long time to read an unencumbered version of the character. Carter Hall, earth based archeologist with alien overtones.
Mr Terrific - ok I still wish they’d get rid of that daft mask, but I like the character and hope they don’t get rid of his tragic past.
DC have announced a few of the 52 new comics being released as part of their line wide reboot initiative, here’s a few I’ll be picking up.
